① 构成 · had + 过去分词

主语 + had + 过去分词 (V3)
肯定 · 三人称同形
  • I / you / he / she / it / we / they → 都用 had
  • She had finished her homework before dinner.
  • They had left when I arrived.
否定 · 疑问
  • 否定：主语 + hadn't + V3
  • I hadn't read the email by Friday.
  • 疑问：Had + 主语 + V3 … ?
  • Had you seen the film before we discussed it?

书写注意：had 后接过去分词，不用过去式。× had went → had gone · × had ate → had eaten

② 意义 · 过去的过去

在某一过去时刻（观察点）之前已经完成的动作 → 用过去完成时。先画时间轴，再写句子。

更早的过去 (Past Perfect) ──→ 较近过去 (Past Simple) ──→ 现在 (Present) had + 过去分词 一般过去时 am / is / are …
  • 观察点（较近）：When I got to the station …
  • 更早：the train had already left.
  • 自问三步：① 哪件事先？② 哪件事是观察点？③ 先发生的 → had + pp

by + 过去时间 到……为止已经完成 By 8 pm, I had done all my work.
before 在……之前（had pp 先发生） He had packed his bag before the taxi arrived.
when / by the time when + 一般过去；主句 had pp When we reached the field, the match had started.
already / just 已经 / 刚刚 She had just left when I got there.
after + had pp 先 A 后 B After he had finished breakfast, he went out.
never / ever 此前从未 / 曾经（到过去某时） She had never tried skiing before that trip.

题材更早 · 过去完成时较近 · 一般过去时（观察点）
交通 The train had left. I arrived at the station.
校园 Tom had left his ticket at home. When we met, he looked worried.
运动 Our team had lost two players to injury. We started the match with only nine.
家庭 Grandma had baked a cake. We came home and smelled it.
旅行 The hotel had closed the pool. We asked at the front desk.
具体过去 昨天 / 去年 / just now → 常用一般过去：He lost his key yesterday.（不用 had lost）

口诀：had 表更早，过去式表较近；by / before 表截止，时间轴上分前后。

⑤ 故事范例 A · 校园 · The Lost Museum Ticket

题材：班级参观 · 丢票补票 · had 句 4 处

阅读顺序 1→6。浅色高亮句为更早的过去；第 4 句为观察点（一般过去）。

  1. Last Saturday, our class planned a visit to the city museum. 上周六，我们班计划去市博物馆。
  2. Tom had bought his ticket online the day before. 汤姆前一天已在网上买好票。
  3. Amy had never been to that museum, so she was excited. 艾米从没去过，很兴奋。
  4. When we met at the school gate, Tom suddenly looked worried. 校门口见面时，汤姆突然很着急。（观察点）
  5. He had left his ticket on the kitchen table at home. 他把票落在家里厨房桌上。
  6. Finally, the teacher called the museum and helped Tom get a new ticket. 老师打电话，帮汤姆补了新票。

⑥ 故事范例 B · 运动 · The Late Football Match

题材：足球赛迟到 · 巴士抛锚 · had 句 3 处

  1. Last Sunday, our school team travelled to Riverside Park for an important match. 上周日，校队去河滨公园参加重要比赛。
  2. The coach had told us to leave at 7:30, but our bus had broken down on the way. 教练说过 7:30 出发，但巴士半路坏了。
  3. When we finally reached the field, the other team was already warming up. 到场时，对方已在热身。（观察点）
  4. The match had already started ten minutes before we ran onto the pitch. 我们冲上球场前，比赛已开始十分钟。
  5. We still played hard and scored two goals in the second half. 下半场我们仍奋力拼进两球。

⑦ 故事范例 C · 家庭 · Grandma's Surprise Cake

题材：回家闻到香味 · 奶奶提前烘焙 · had 句 3 处

  1. On Friday evening, my parents and I came home after a long day at work and school. 周五傍晚，爸妈和我结束一天工作和学习回家。
  2. Grandma had already baked a chocolate cake and had set the table in the dining room. 奶奶已烤好巧克力蛋糕，并在餐厅摆好桌子。
  3. When we opened the door, a wonderful smell filled the house. 开门时，满屋香味。（观察点）
  4. She had never made that recipe before, so we were curious. 她以前从没做过这个配方，我们很好奇。
  5. We laughed and thanked her, then shared the cake after dinner. 我们笑着道谢，晚饭后一起分蛋糕。

⑧ 故事范例 D · 旅行 · The Closed Hotel Pool

题材：海边度假 · 泳池已关 · had 句 3 处

  1. During the summer holiday, our family stayed at a small hotel by the sea. 暑假里，全家住在海边小旅馆。
  2. A storm had damaged part of the roof the night before we arrived. 我们到达前一晚，暴风雨损坏了部分屋顶。
  3. When we asked about swimming, the clerk looked sorry. 我们问游泳时，前台很抱歉。（观察点）
  4. The hotel had closed the outdoor pool for safety checks. 旅馆为安全检查已关闭室外泳池。
  5. We had packed our swimsuits, so Dad suggested a walk on the beach instead. 我们带了泳衣，爸爸建议改去海滩散步。
  6. The sunset that evening was beautiful, and we took many photos. 当晚日落很美，我们拍了很多照片。

  3. We had saw the film. → We had seen the film.

  6. 见面时他已落票 → He had left his ticket before we met.
  7. By Friday, I return the book. → By Friday, I had returned the book.

  10. 观察点：When I arrived（不是 when I arrive）

过去完成时
